WHAT WE DO
We are a partnership of public education advocates seeking to invest in the youth of the Sudan community, provide resources to maintain a high quality learning atmosphere, encourage educators and students to perform at their highest potential and provide ample opportunities for success for students of all walks of life!
Since the Sudan Education Foundation’s inception we have awarded over $100,000 in education grants and scholarships throughout Sudan ISD campuses.
01.
— Innovative Learning
The Foundation funds innovative, creative projects that enrich student learning experiences and supports the district’s mission of developing each child so that all students are lifelong learners, complex thinkers, responsible global citizens and effective communicators. The Foundation has awarded over $75,000 in education grants, including innovative teaching and district grants. Teacher and district grants ranging from $300 to $5,000 have been given to the district, individual teachers and teams of teachers who submitted grant proposals. The successful grant applications are evaluated and approved by the Sudan Education Foundation program committee.
02.
— Scholarships
The Foundation is proud to offer a Dual Credit scholarship to high school students who enroll in and qualify for Dual Credit Courses. The goal of the scholarship is to increase opportunities for Sudan ISD students to reach their full potential by opening doors in high school that help a broad and diverse range of students transition into post-secondary education. The Foundation has awarded almost $25,000 in scholarships to students who have taken and passed dual-credit college courses through Sudan ISD.
