Grant Spotlight: 3-D Pens

Breanne Carter and her 2nd grade class were a 2019 Grant Recipient of 3-D pens.

The grant provided the 2nd graders with 5 sets of 3-D pens and refills for the students to use in science and social studies.  Last year Mrs. Carter and her 2nd graders used these 3-D pens to study weather. The students created a sun as their first small project with the pens.  They planned on working their way up to more advanced masterpieces, but their school year was cut short due to Covid.

You can see the excitement on these kid’s faces though … how fun!

This year Mrs. Carter and her class used the 3-D pens to create plants and plant parts.

Thank you to Mrs. Carter and her second graders for sharing how they are using their innovative new tools to creatively learn about weather, plants and more!
